The korean war, that started on June 25,1950, is still continuing for more than 60 years. Due to the lack of formal communication between north and South Korea, the relationship has never improved. 2018 Inter-Korean summit happened in 10 years and 6 months, after the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in South Korea and Kim announced his country would no longer test nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles.
the 38th parallel, is a creative website, with data visualisations of the relationship between South and North Korea. The website seeks to question the past relationship, but also question how data can build up and develop stories.
