This is a public art project that uses Syntrend building's media facade to transform any person into an astronaut. The Cosmos Walker Project was launched in September, 2016. Here is the project website:

The visitors can upload their face photo via the WebGL interface to the project server. After receiving noticing emails, the visitors can go to the Syntrend building and watch themselves become an enormous astronaut that floating on the building's media façade.

Concept

Because of the progress of technology, the expansion of the cities increases rapidly. This exponential growth of our physical environment compresses our spiritual existence and makes us feel trivial. Therefore, through the new media public art project: The Cosmos Walker, All the citizens in Taipei can upload their images through the Internet to Syntrend's giant media façade. They can transform themselves into astronauts that floating and dancing in the cosmos.

I hope that thru such an imaginative interaction, the existence of the citizens can be re-balanced with the expansion of the metropolis.
