Imagine where education can take you

Imagine Where Education Can Take You
The brief was to create an artwork that would be applied to desks donated to less privileged schools. The main theme, "Imagine where education can take you", sparked an idea to create a fantasy world of magic and circus characters. Focusing on rather portraying imagination, we aimed to portray that education isn't limited to what one would read in a book or study hard for, but what you learn through experience and following the path less traveled on. We are not dismissing education in the classroom as unimportant, but rather emphasising that education should not be limited to the classroom, and that you can allow your imagination to take over in during instances of learning.

The illustration consists of rainbow bands to tie the different characters together and also an interesting flow.
Because young children get bored easily, we wanted to make the illustration as intricate as possible to allow the exploration of the illustration to continue way beyond a mere hour or two.
The colours used are very bright and eye-catching to primary school pupils. This has been a fun but challenging project but it was worth the final result.

I feel like art is a great way to improve vital areas of learning. It inspires and motivates the pupils to do better or dream bigger. Taking part in projects much like this one can be life changing to the individuals affected by it
