Initially these were letters to my daughter but then they evolved into this book. This is the story of our partings.
21. Zazi is proudly telling Mochnatytch about how she went to a hospital by tram,
how they cut fur on her tummy, how she was afraid a little bit but gave no sign of it and that she is healthy.
23. Mochnatytch is studying dad's new mobile phone, and Zazi is trying on mom's new boots.
18. Cats are combing each other turn by turn.
19. Zazi is imitating a squirrel for Mochnatytch because he has never seen any squirrels.
12. Mochnatytch is criticizing Zazi for tearing Norstein's poster.
16. Cats are full and are now discussing how to raise the bwalkingsticks. After all there are three of them already.
14. Zazi is criticizing Mochnatytch for nibbling on Varia's Spanish palms.
19. Zazi is recalling how funny Mochnatytch was when he was little.
11. Cats are putting together the name 'Varia'.
24. Mochnatytch became a friend of the snail, but Zazi is a little bit afraid of it.
7.Cats are continuing to observe insect's life.
8. Cats are dancing and singing because a walkingstick was born.
13. Cats are delighted that the snail has a new spacious house and a friend - a green caterpillar.
8. Zazi is yelling, and Mochnatytch is dreaming of cheese.
12. Zazi made new friends, and Mochnatytch didn't have a chance.
14. Cats gave two walkingsticks into the right hands.
25. Cats are bewitching the grass that it grows faster.
7. Cats are spying on what dad and mom are doing.
5. Cats are watching a film for adults.
28. Mochnatytch is telling Zazi his scary dream.
3. Cats have read in a book about butterflies that caterpillars slough as walkingsticks do.
30. Mochnatytch lost Zazi.
18. Cats are studying a bee.
9. Cats are recalling how they were going to Moscow by train.
24. Cats are asking dad to play with them.
20. Cats are painting the doorstep in the kitchen.
3. Cats are playing a card game called ‘Akulina’.
17. Cats came to keep mom and dad company at dinner. Dad named that – “back towards humanity”.
1. Cats are admiring new curtains.
2. Cats are playing ‘Father Christmas and Varia’ game.
25. Zazi is sad without Varia. She wept out three buckets.
22. Zazi leapt out when Mochnatytch was passing by.
26. Cats are cleaning up in Varia’s dollhouse.
23. Cats are painting the doorstep for the second time.
32. Cats and fourty walkingsticks are preparing for Varia’s arrival.
27. Cats are waiting for Varia.
