This brief was to re design a classic album cover. I decided to re design Nirvana’s album
Nevermind. The concept was all about contrast due to the meaning and lyrics of the songs. The
artwork for the cover is representing fire and I created it by painting with wax and an iron and
over time building up the layers of colour. The sleeve had a pop up element where the vinyl
is able to be placed and there is also a lyric booklet made of acetate and containing vectored
imagery from the songs.
