What happens when our camouflage works? When we begin to dissolve into our surroundings, we become one with all. But something of our previous form remains, begging to be seen.

This piece was completed for a group show at Light Grey Art Lab in Minneapolis, MN centered around camouflage. Working through my own personal struggles and beginning to see a shift in my life, this piece was naturally influenced. I began thinking about how camouflage had served as a way of holding myself safely inside of my comfort zone and started looking for ways to shed that skin and uncover what was below.
