PRELIMINARY TATTOO SKETCHES FOR A TATTOO ILLUSTRATION: PENCIL
Brief given based on imagery, content, style and placement.
Sketches have been executed to explore characteristics of the figures and charioscuro to determine movement and gesture and to evoke emotional response.
TEXTURES SKETCH: PENCIL AND PENCIL CRAYON
Exploring the texture of a shell in pencil and execution by short and rough lines and further using pencil crayon to highlight small parts of colour over the textured surface.
CONCEPTUAL SKETCH: PENCIL
A sketch of a clay sculpture. Dead wasps inspired me to build up part of her nect with them. A conceptual perception of death. Connection made between death and the sculpture- death in her eyes as she has no pupils. And the connection made between death of the wasps and the deadly nature of their sting.
