Carhartt Cologne for Men
Graphics, Packaging and Branding
Carhartt Cologne for Men was designed for the hard-working Carhartt Man to invigorate and refresh throughout the day.  Designed to communicate strength, the packaging references a tool-like quality.
Able to be carried from anything from a tool box to a glove box and everything inbetween.
The Design Brief is an example of the Design Process that I apply to each project big or small.  I construct each Design Brief by deconstructing the brand, the company and the customer.  By ensuring that this crucial step is implemented, I, the designer, and my design team if there is one, uses the brief throughout the design process to ensure each product 3D or printed is executed accurately and effectively.
Above, is a sample of the Carhartt Cologne for Men bottle sketches.  The final design was selected for three reasons:
--The graphic element of Carhartt's trademark C, is big and bold.  Minimal enough to ensure brand recognition for customers.
--Referencing tools of the trade, familiar industrial materials and durable for everyday wear and tear.
--Diamond plated stainless steel body for aesthetics and functionality.
One of the signature features of the bottle packaging, the transparent Carhartt C is a window into the product.  The window allows the customer to see the final product beyond the packaging, the cologne.
