Cardiac Blood Volume Simulations

Cardiac Blood Volume Simulations
Still from a series of animations that illustrate blood volume and cardiac output.
The heart was animated inside of Maya and brought into RealFlow to simulate the blood volumes.
Geometry of the interior heart was set as a Fill Object emitter and simulated for 30 frames, representing one complete cardiac cycle.
The simulation was meshed and imported into Maya using the RealFlow plugin.
Further edits and cleanup were done in ZBrush.
The ZBrush edits were imported back into Maya where a blendshape was used for the final animation.
An example of one of the stroke volume animations.
