Smart[er] is a smartphone conceived to enlong the life-span of normal smartphones by changing users behaviors and increase product attachment. The phone is structured in five layers, in order to make it easier to fix.

Bubble is a mode that allows the user to detach from information pollution by choosing who/what to let in/out of the bubble.
The project followed the Vision in Product Design (VIP) method, as a conceptualizing strategy based on the creation of future scenarios.
The design of both the product and the interface were based on user research and were followed by user testing. All materials and colors were chosen based on product attachment principles.

The project was committed by Enviu, a Rotterdam based  organization engaged in sustainable innovation. The concept was part of the Our Mobile Generation (OMG) project. Nokia bought afterwards the whole OMG concepts package.
