The MINI Sharing is an app experience that enables owners of MINI to share their vehicle with family and friends. The app features ability to couple owners vehicle with app that enables unlocking, live positioning and calendar with bookings. Owners are encouraged to invite family members and friends to use MINI Sharing.
This project also includes design for web page that promotes MINI Sharing on main website sharing.mini.es.
As a Lead Product designer I was responsible for visual design and building design system that will enable developers to easily create iOS and Android apps as well as desktop landing page. This role included involvement in creating promotional photos, UX research in Madrid with selected MINI owners and promotional videos to support marketing team in Hamburg. This also included numerous animations to promote app features in BMW dealerships across Spain.
The design for this app was developed trough an agile process over the course of 20 months starting October 2018.
Building app for MINI was definitely on of the highlights in my career and I believe I was very fortunate to be on the right place in the right time to develop this app from scratch.
