The animals were beyond tired of the orders and counter-orders of the king Lion. Even more when they find out that he had the river diverted to build a swimming pool in front of his lair! After a demonstration, the idea for an election pops up as a way to choose a new ruler for the forest. The Monkey, the Sloth, the Snake and the Lion himself are up for president. But what exactly happens in an election? What are the rules? How do we pick the winner? Get ready to find all that out together with the animals, and pick your favourite candidate. But don't tell anyone: your vote is meant to be secret!

Following Quem Manda Aqui?, this book is a new partnership between Estúdio RebimbocaLabhacker and writer Paula Desgualdo. Eleição dos Bichos (President of the Jungle) is a book about politics – made with children for children – that was born as a crowdfunded project and ended up being published by one of Brazil's biggest and most prestigious publishers, Companhia das Letrinhas, in 2018.

In the process of making the book, we made workshops with children where we discussed how an electoral process is structured. Everything we heard and saw in these workshops was used as inspiration for the book, that
will soon have an online free available for download version, under CC BY-NC license. That means anyone can read, download, print, copy, modify and share its contents. The only thing that we ask for is not to sell or make money from it :)

The illustrations were made mixing hundreds of paper cutouts and loose pencil and charcoal doodles
