Uncia is a 360-degree convertible laptop with 13" touch screen, aimed at high-end commercial market, created for the pro-user who wants to have an ultimate experience. It has four key features, extremely quiet fanless design, high ranking water proof on 360 convertible laptop, intelligent power management and auto-magnetic-lock stylus.

To solve the heat comes from high performance CPU, fans have always been a good solution, but fans bring along with noises and diminished performance. Correspondingly, to achieve IP68 dust and waterproof, Uncia is not feasible to have any fan. In order to achieve our goal, we design the surrounding aluminum frame to conduct heat. Also, using multiple fabrics to cover the system to prevent heat conducted by material to users. In the end, we provide a neat, sealed, and quiet laptop.

Uncia is available for use even under 21 meters deep water. It’s a great breaking through on both industrial design and mechanical design. We use waterproof fabrics to cover the keyboard, and design tank for preventing water going through connectors into the system. There are also rubbers surrounded in between different case parts. The thoughtful design makes Unica ultimate in the waterproof field.

Uncia is capable to understand the surrounding environment through the bottom sensors. It will automatically reduce power consumption while the product is running tablet mode or viewing mode.

The design solved two common problems, the stylus carrying and charging. While the stylus slipping close to Uncia, the holder revealing itself automatically. The stylus is fixed when it just closes to Uncia, at the same time, charged through the pogo pin on the product.
