would like to tell a story of heartache, unexpected circumstances and true exhaustion.
My idea and goal in this project was to capture the essence of Naples Italy through the mascot of the city Pulcinella.
Some Sketches
The sketches for Pulcinella came later on since I wanted to capture the city with multiple items. The city is very superstitious and they have a lot of mascots and other things that represent the city. The sketches were somewhat difficult when it came to shading and lighting since Pulcinella is a black mask with not much definition.
So Far So Good
It was going very well! It all made sense to me how it needed to look and I felt confident in my ability to capture the essence of the great city. The nose and eyes were the most difficult portion of the stickers. Everything was moving along smoothly, until everything went wrong.
Well, that was Unexpected...
My life turned upside down quicker than I thought humanly possible. The end was here and it was a very bitter end. I know that I could have done better, had circumstances allowed for it I would have, but all is in the past now.
The end is not the best, but I feel that Pulcinella can easily be seen in my depiction.
