The central concept of the Senses Fail Compact Disk project was to convey a deprivation of the two most essential elements to live; air and water while at the same time incorporate various elements that would activate the consumer’s five senses through the use of the product. I believe I created an edgy shower scene graphic and an unconventional way to read the lyrics which created a heightened level of inter-activeness of the viewer. The location of the water pipe lyric cards (behind the shower wall graphic) added an additional layer of reality to the shower concept. The addition of a plastic slip cover made from an actual shower curtain further added to overall theme.

 

This project underscores my versatility in design. The primary goal of this project was to stretch my graphic abilities; and, to push myself outside my comfort zone in almost every aspect of its design.  Overall, I believe the intended outcome was achieved.
