The Red Bull Schlittentag took place on February 26, 2012.  It was hosted by Blue Mountain located in eastern Pennsylvania.  The event had everything from free beverages, to awesome rewards,a live dj (DJ Adriano), charismatic MC (Fame Vasquez), and a little something for the entire family.  The point of this event is for teams to build a sled, either there on the spot, or built at home and brought to the event, and go down this giant hill.  They all compete for style, speed and craftsmanship; and of course a little entertainment doesn't hurt.  The teams ranged from families with small children, to college students, to elderly skiers at the mountain that day.  The sleds would reach speeds of over 30mph and not all of them made it to the bottom.  The turnout was great and next year this event should be much bigger and include teams from all over the area.
