This project for Sophomore: New Media Design was to design a
"How-To" app or website. I chose to focus in on how to identify
plants, more specifically how to identify plants in Florida. My
design is a completely horizontal scroll suggesting an endless
horizon of plantlife starting at the uplands and moving towards
I saw my design working better as an
application so any user at anytime can pull out either their
iPhone or iPad and the app could function as an on-site field-
guide more or less. All elements are optimized for interaction
and the Florida Plant Site can funtion as an interactive website
just the same as an iOS app.
