The "Off Season"

The majority of visitors to the resort town of Ocean City, MD are just that: visitors. They come for a short time in the warm months and then return to their lives elsewhere, leaving the memory of Ocean City as a sun filled paradise by the sea engraved in their memories until the following summer.

It may not occur to those who do not call OCMD their permanent home that, despite their absence, the town continues to exist regardless of the season. Through these images, I hope to show a mere glimpse of what life is like in a coastal resort town when the population declines from 300,000 residents to roughly 7,000 during what is referred to as the "Off Season".

This is life in a ghost town.
