Inverse
For the final graduating project, the brief required us to explore a theory in our dissertation. Using that as the base of the project, it then became the determining factor to the project driver. 'Inverse' is a project, incubated from the theory of 'Gatedness of Life'; whereby people are in form or another, "prisoners of space". Inverse focuses on oneself in order to combat drug addiction. It aims for a seamless integration of ex-drug addicts into society so there is no abrupt transition physically and psychologically.

Drug addiction is credited more to psychological issues rather than the drug itself, therefore rehabilitating the mind in their transition back into society. 'Me, Myself and I', the focus on one's self, is the project concept that challenges the notion of finding our own privacy within Halfway House.Halfway houses have their own routine and schedules in which residents are to abide. This gives little freedom in finding their own privacy. Residents all have their emotional, financial and psychological baggage and Inverse addresses these issues. The site is located at Pertapis Halfway House in Geylang, Lorong 34.
