The theme of this piece is the unheard and unreachable voices of people in Fukushima, and a tension between people in Fukushima and the Japanese government/ the Electronic Company.  I decided to use elastic cord, which is not an ordinary material to use to make any type of installations.  Challenging to use a new material pushes me to include social voice into my work.  It was very hard to use elastic cords as a part of the installation, because it is difficult to keep the tension.  However, I found the choice of material was the best fit for representing the relationship.
