Invisible People
An exploration into the space between society and homeless people.
In the UK, an estimated 1 in 200 people are homeless. As a culture, we have been desensitised to the sheer amount that we see on a daily basis, and so the homeless have slipped into the background, becoming invisible.
This series aims to raise awareness to this issue, and shine a light on society's ignorance. I wanted to avoid being subjective and so did not photograph any homeless people, just because they are forced to take shelter in the public domain, doesn't mean that they are there to be photographed. I took the photos in black and white, to echo my theme.
