Logo created to renew the branding of the regional culinary festival Ver-o-Peso da Cozinha Paraense that happens yearly in Belém, capital of Pará state, in Brazil.
The idea was to change the over detailed photo-like original logo for a cleaner, simply drawn kind of mark. After sketching a few elements from Ver-o-Peso (the traditional fish market of Belém), I thought that I should focus on the actual iron fish market structure and the tip of one of the towers could be recognized by anyone that has ever been to Belém and the market.
The color is purple as an obvious reference to one of Pará's greatest natural treasures: The Açaí.
I used paper and ink and Adobe Illustrator.
