In this patriotic project, we should discover, define, and brand our country, Portugal. If Italy haves Trajan, Britain the Gill Sans, Germany the DIN, is there a typeface that shows Portugal?
Starting in the third century, and still evolving, I discovered that Portugal had several scripts. We must respect, and preserve them so we can know more about our past.
At that time, I couldn’t find “the” very one. So, i came to the conclusion that scripts are cultural evidences for the future. Everyone played a special role in a specific time, and place.
Recently, I read some books on typography, and found new interesting information about portuguese typography. Updates to this text will come soon.
