Mrs. Fields Cookies is a hugely successful company that has been in operation for over 40 years, however there has been very little enhancements made to the company’s branding over this time. Above is the time line of Mrs. Fields logos from it’s beginnings in 1977 until today. The first logo of the chocolate chip was replaced in the 1980’s with a handwritten script of “Mrs. Fields”, which is still used today. Altogether, the Mrs. Field’s logo has essentially stayed the same for over 30 years!

My advertisements for Mrs. Fields are based on the famous street artist Banksy. The reason for the combination of Mrs. Fields and Banksy is that both Mrs. Fields and Banksy are brands that are widely recognized, and, more importantly,  are known and enjoyed by the average person. This brings instant relatability to the advertisements.  I chose to add humor so as to unite the two brands together: the fun and indulgence of Mrs. Fields cookies with the irreverence and playfulness of Bansky’s art.
