Low-Poly Branding

These are a series of projects done in a low-poly graphic style for a university club I volunteered for. I applied this approach consistently across various projects to create a recognizable style, while leaving room for creative innovation.
This is a rendering of the Calgary Peace Bridge, which I later applied as the theme for a powerpoint slide deck. It was a particularly long and intricate project, one that I am very proud of as I feel I managed to capture a large amount of detail within the confines of the triangle elements. Further, as it is a vector graphic, it can be applied to many different projects later down the line.
This style is done entirely by hand; each triangle is individually drawn and coloured using an image reference layered underneath it. Through this project, I discovered that I am actually very patient and tenacious when I believe that the final product is worth the effort.
This is an example of how I applied these graphic elements to create a flyer promoting a new project information session. The possibilities are truly endless with this style, as there can always be an image combination to match the cause.
Campus recruitment takes place for all clubs at the end of the academic year, and every wall is filled with posters promoting various clubs. Due to the intricacy of the graphic style and the striking imagery, our poster stood out among the other more basic designs. We received our highest sign-up rates compared to previous years, and many positive comments on the alluring design of the poster that caused students to reach out and find out more about the club.
I also created some logos for new projects that were launched during my time with volunteering with the club. I tried my best to give a simplified feel that matched with the other graphics I was creating for the club to give a sense of consistency.
