Giffoni Film Festival

Poster proposal for Giffoni film festival, the 45th edition “CARPE DIEM”.

I implemented it with Martina Lieto e Fabio Parisi.

Carpe Diem is an invitation, a warning, a concept. It’s an invitation to make our life extraordinary: not to content, not to postpone what you can do immediately, with courage and passion. It’s a warning, like the one whispered by Keating to his students, the teacher of the movie “Carpe Diem”: life flows fast and the unripe age of youth is not coming back, that’s why you should live it, to fully enjoy its unrepeatable uniqueness. It is an ancient concept but always present. Carpe Diem is Oratio’s beautiful expression, he wanted to express the idea of living the present: it is the main road to affirm the individual freedom to handle our existence. 

That’s why we chose to represent it through movies fully suitable to this idea: aside from “Carpe Diem”, we considered “The pursuit of happiness”, “Will Hunting-the rebel genius”, “Into the wild”, “It’s never too late”.
