Magazine Layout/Trend prediction

In May/June of 2012 I entered Competitions for both Asos and a graduate competition for Company Magazine in which you had to create trend prediction mood boards for Autumn/Winter 12.

After hours of looking through catwalk shows and reading articles I came up with key trends I thought we would see come A/W 12.

I decided instead of just creating mood boards to show these trends, I would create them in the style of magazine editorials for each company. I looked through my collection of magazines which included that of Asos and Company to get a real understanding of their style, layout and design so that my layouts would reflect that of each company.

My entry for Company Graduate competition was shortlisted and I made the final 14 which meant I got to meet with Victoria White, editor of Company magazine, whilst at Graduate Fashion Week.

I love to put together outfits and decided to show how easy it is to create a new look/style.

I decided a more interesting way to show this and to show my interest in layout and design would be to create magazine inspired pages demonstrating how to put certain pieces together to create a look.

Each page was created using Photoshop.
