Communication Objective:

We created this photo series for the client, Nottingham City Council. We wanted to showcase Nottingham in a more creative way to appeal to the large student community residing in the city. We chose key buildings that would be of interest to the student community, entitling the series ‘Big Up Notts’. We envision the work being seen on a series of posters across the city coinciding with the universities open days. We took inspiration from current graphic trends such as illustrations laid over photography.

Production:

We used a combination of Photoshop, Illustrator and the Adobe Capture app to create our final pieces. For some of the images we hand traced the outline of the buildings and then used the Adobe Capture app to change the drawing into vector which we over-layed with the original image in Photoshop. For the other images we used Illustrator to create outlines of the buildings.
