K2T smart router is featured with perfect WiFi-through-wall capability and auto selection of the optimal band ( 2.4 G or 5 G). The transmitting speed can get up to 1000 M per second. With the app installed on smart phone, users can easily manage home network and connected devices. The form of K2T is simple and clean, all the antennas are hidden inside the device.Meanwhile, wires become simple, there's only one cable integrating network and power connected with the main body, inviting the users to put routers on display rather than hiding it.

Traditionally, when the routers are put on table, there're some messy cables connecting behind, they are hard to organize and easy to drop. We think it's not a good solution. To change this situation into a better one , we created the K2T. One Unique design of K2T is that there's only one cable connected with the main body, transmitting data and power, and all the WAN and LAN ports are moved and integrated into the power plug, hidden somewhere unobvious. On the other hand, all the antennas are redesigned and moved inside. The traditional vision of a router with several antennas standing has changed to a new one, which is complete and compact. The feeling of technical product decreases and it's becoming more elegant and decorative.

When doing this project, we rethink people's living space and divided router's using situation into two parts: one is the scene which is obvious, like the table, the ground, the wall, etc. And the other is unobvious like the corner, the ethernet port close to flooring angular line. For the obvious one, K2T is able to present a simple and clean image for users because there's only one cable connected. And all the WAN and LAN ports are moved to the power plug hidden somewhere unobvious. So the whole using situation is redesigned and becomes more clean and organized.

k2T uses a 4 in 1 cable to transmit data and power, that's the biggest challenge. Traditionally the router has DC power, WAN and LAN ports on back, that's way there're many messy cables behind the router. To move these ports away from the main body, we need to start from scratch, redesign and customize the PCB and cable, because there're no existing components we can choose. Meanwhile, to move the antennas inside is also challenging, traditional antenna components can't fit the new design, the distance between these 4 an

The in-built antenna make the product more complete and elegant. It helps decrease the technical feeling of a router and make the electronic devise get close to people. Lastly, the transmitting speed of 1000M per second brings the user unrestrained internet surfacing experience.

The design of K2T brought simplicity and better user experience to the customer and has changed the technical image of traditional router. Firstly, the form of routers on the market are almost the same with 3 or 4 antennas standing there, but the design of K2T changed it into a new one with antennas built inside, which helps the Phicomm brand to create a big differentiation with the others. We were thinking reducing the plastic parts through design. To keep a balance between cost and and material saving, we figured out to use in built antenna solution. Because the design of K2T uses in-built antennas, the traditional antennas are removed, thus the product uses 35% less of plastic parts.
