Logo and menu UI for a indie video game

A friend of mine was collaborating as a programmer on this project and asked me to join the small their small team of independent game developers in order to design a logo for the game and a basic user interface for the main menu.
The games revolved around the idea of a cyber-arena, in which the player pilots a tank through hordes of enemies. All fired shots would rebound off the walls inside the arena, which creates the opportunity for elaborate trick shots but also forces the player to be on constant lookout for incoming shots from all directions.
I tried incorporating the idea of an arena-battleground into the design of the logo as well as into the design of the menu.
