This surreal artwork was inspired by everyday's life where everyone is busy with their work and forget to communicate with their loved ones. In this manipulation, one can see a boy lost at sea and his mum, represented as a jellyfish-woman, reaching to him to save him and connect him back to the real world from his fantasy.
For this artwork, different stock photos were used to be able and create the whole composite. Some digital painting had to be done as well to develop the underwater environment and the jellyfish-woman. The colouring was split into two parts, the top and bottom part. For this, I looked into different inspiration to create a feeling and portray the story better.
