BamBam is a multi-function Orthotic/Prosthetic socket and terminal device system that can be made and distributed locally in developing countries where there are high incidences of limb loss and limited access to health care. By utilizing readily available materials such as bamboo and canvas, this device offers a low cost alternative to high-priced custom-made prosthetics. BamBam is durable and easily manufactured, using simple tools and readily accessible materials. Whether a person has been born with a missing limb or suffered from an accident, disease, or war crime, these devices can help restore functionality, dignity, and self-reliance.

BamBam is curently being exhibited at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, from December 12, 2014 - April 28, 2015.  In the Beautiful Users Exhibit.

Ellen Lupton (Curator of the "Beautiful Users Exhibit") , asked me if I would like be exhibit BamBam Prosthetics in the Beautiful users Exhibit, at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.  Below is my display case with several prosthetic designs.
