Small Scale Costume Fabrication

T-shirt:
Materials Used: Cotton interlock, fabric paint 
Techniques Used: Tracing paper used to apply image, fabric paint then applied by hand. 
Jeans:
Materials Used: Cotton/spandex blend denim
Shoes:
Materials Used: Cotton canvas, blackout curtain lining, nylon cording, fabric paint
Jacket:
Materials Used: Cotton denim, micro-fleece, Sculpey clay, acrylic paintt
Techniques Used: Buttons made of Sculpey clay in proportion to garment, then painted with acrylic paint to provide more dimension.
Amanita Dress:
Materials Used: Muslin, fabric dye, fabric paint
Techniques Used: Dip dye used to achieve ombre, stenciled toadstool outline prior to hand painting detail (reference detail photo below).   
Bat Dress:
Materials Used: Chiffon, embroidery floss, tulle, polyester lining, polyester thread
Techniques Used: Bats hand embroidered on bodice, abstract machine embroidery demonstrated on skirt (reference detail photo below).
Shattered Sunrise Dress:
Materials Used: Muslin, fabric dye, fabric paint, dye resist, fabric marker
Techniques Used: Dip dye used to achieve ombre, dye resist applied creating geometric shapes, fabric paint and markers used to define shapes after resist was removed.
Skull Tunic Tank:
Materials Used: Cotton poplin, fabric paint
Techniques Used: Skulls hand painted with black and white fabric paint (reference detail photo below).
Houndstooth Skirt: 
Materials Used: Polyester/spandex blend suiting
Sugar Skull Block Print Tank:
Materials Used: Quilter's solid cotton, fabric paint
Techniques Used: Skull block printed utilizing found objects(reference detail photo below).
Square Block Print Shorts: 
Materials Used: Quilter's solid cotton, fabric paint
Techniques Used: Squares block printed utilizing found objects(reference detail photo below).
Mercury Paper Monster Mash Dress:
Materials Used: Printed quilter's cotton, decorative paper
Techniques Used: Center front bodice was woven by hand(reference detail photo below).

Techniques Used: All face details and back scales hand painted, toadstool barrette made with Sculpey clay and then painted.
