Sprinkles, The New Spice of Life
This is the first in a series of pieces inspired by the musings of my friends. Originally just one liners living in purple dry-erase ink on a whiteboard, I decided they were too priceless to have such temporary lives. So they've become inspiration and an outlet for me to use my type and design skills and hopefully we will get to see them come to life in printed form, as well.
The "sprinkles" and "life" text were drawn first by hand. The visual inspiration, typefaces, and colors come from an assortment of antique spice tins. The words were spoken by my friend Diane, who is quite possibly obsessed with sprinkles, with preferences for colors, textures, and shapes as they relate to flavor.
