HISTORIC GRAND PRIX POSTERS
This series of illustrations were inspired by Art Deco destination and advertisement posters, by prominent artist of the era, like A.M. Cassandre and Geo Hamm – just to name a few. Stylistical, I wanted to use broad areas of color, contrast and reduced details – similar to the original style of the era, but with a "digital" take on this classic movement of art. I demonstrated to my students a step-by-step process of gathering reference photos, refining the intial pencil sketch, and rendering the illustration digitally.
