Bottom: Ideas for book cover designs can come from anywhere. Paris-based designer Virginie Vigne happened upon this postcard of one of my ballet photographs published by the Dutch company Art Unlimited. She then contacted me to license it and turned it into a cover design for Editions Payot & Rivages.
