Automation and emergency preparedness, wed at last.
For many people, emergency preparedness and having a store of food for in-need situations is an absolutely essential part of life, but one that goes without much day to day notice. Often, people will build up stores of food for use in the case of emergencies, but then forget that all that food has an expiration date, and some much sooner than others. Fresh Reminders conquers that issue by allowing people to create an account and store their food storage, along with quantities and expirations, in a central database and receive automated reminders on when the food will expire as well as when to use how much in order to rotate through it. The site is built on a PHP/Ruby on Rails mixed foundation, and uses a MySQL backend. The design is entirely custom.
