This year marks the first edition of Waves, which will be an annual magazine for the Modern Languages and Literatures Department of Grand Valley State University. The title highlights the powerful connections that are created through languages and cultures within our world. With the exception of the article, “Paving the Way for a Future Career,” which explores the benefits of learning a second language, all the articles in the magazine feature GVSU specifically.
