The brief for this project was to create awareness around New Zealand beaches and beach cleaning events promoted by Love Your Coast. In this redesigned concept, I focused on cigarette butts and the damage that they do to beaches and marine life. With the use of satire, making a humorous character of a cigarette with a large bottom, it makes viewers realise that cigarette butts are indeed not the kind of butts they want to see at the beach. This playful realisation will hopefully make viewers realise the dangers of beach pollution without having another 'danger' poster in their face.
