For young, trendy mothers buying food for their children and nostalgic college kids, approximately around the ages 18-36, Swiss Miss is the instant hot chocolate mix that gives you the best tasting, rich chocolate flavor needed for comfort in the cold weather. In comparison, Swiss Miss gives more mix per box and uses real milk and is a brand that just focuses on making hot chocolate.

My approach to this project was to blend my illustrative and design knowledge, creating a whimsical and charming redesign. I chose imagery that reflected winter and Switzerland, but still emitting that comforting and warm feeling. The text that I created was still a nod to the culture but keeping the charm of the overall piece.

I wanted to approach the design at another angle, one where there was a stronger shelf presence. To achieve that, I decided to focus on classic swiss design which meant using Helvetica as the main type for everything. I also wanted to keep my palette simple, focusing on the primary colors.
