This is one of me reference photos for the piece that I have just started. I am going to use it as reference for the face only. I like to make my reference photos in black and white when I am working in graphite because its easier to see the changes in value. 

The current artist that I am using as inspiration is Elle Wills who I found due to her large Instagram following. She always uses bright colors and her work is very feminine and also very realistic. Two things that she draws or paints very often are female portraits and water, and these are two things in this piece. 

I did the sketch and then began shading. Instead of the picture I began with, which is mostly pink, I am going to use blues and change a lot of the features.
