Breaking the stereo type once again . The idea for the concept shoot came to me when I realised the kind of preset notions people, including my friends and families, had about the LGBT community. Through my photographs, I want to show the world that there is beauty everywhere. While there are androgynous models in the international fashion circuit, I don’t know of any in Chennai, when it comes to drag queen 80 percent of the industry does not know whats its all about..
Drag is a term used to define dress or garb and a drag queen is a man dressing to appear to be a woman, just as a drag king is a woman dressing to appear to be a man, it is a way not only of dressing but a manner of being here are many kinds of drag artists and they vary greatly in dedication, I hate slapping labels on people.And honestly I don't want to categorise them. I'd rather enjoy the universe they create. . Yet watching them perform transcends me and allows me to challenge identity and what is real and what is perceived
