Brophy College Preparatory, a Jesuit high school in Phoenix, Arizona, hosts an annual summit on Human Dignity to address a modern social issue in the hopes of sparking change among its students.  This years summit aims to address human trafficking, pornographic culture and media, and the widespread injustices that these topics bring about.  The 2D Graphic Art Design students were seperated into teams of two and were challenged to create a poster for this year's summit.
Inspiration:
Ideation:

Ian and I toyed around with several ideas, but we quickly realized that we were not a big fan of the dark and negative posters that are typically used when talking about human trafficking.  After some brainstorming, we decided to focus our efforts on empowering women, and emphasizing the strength and beauty of women as individuals.  A majority of our ideas came from a video that was shown in class discussing fifteen trends in graphic design (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcc1VyGvaYk&ab_channel=PhilipVanDusen), and we would not have been able to create as good of a product without it.
Digital Comps:

We spent a majority of our time on Unsplash searching for the right photo that we felt really exemplified the power and uniqueness of the individual.  After a while, we settled on three photos and from there we tried to find a way to manipulate the photo to draw people's attention without taking away from the individual.
Final Poster:

Ian and I believed that our final poster choice best embodied the idea of human dignity, especially the idea of women as powerful individuals, as well as maintaining a very simple yet appealing look.
