This is a part of the illustrations that I made for the book "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket" by Edgar Allan Poe (the book was first published in 1837), the only completed novel by Edgar Poe and one of his most controversial works.
In the original editing of the book have been used roman numerals for the chapters headers. Numerical values extremely important for the content, they resonate with novel events. 25 headings are made in the technique of linocuts, the height of each block is 82 mm, the smallest width is 40 mm, the largest is 282 mm.
