brückenbühne
Building bridges. That is the main concept of the Brückenbühne stage designed for the Summaery Night Fever exhibiton organised every year by the Bauhaus-University in Weimar. The stage is made out of wooden bridge construction which is placed on the main walking path in the square behind the main building. This way even during the day people will get in touch with the stage. In the evening during a performance it allows the audience to get closer to the performer on the stage by sitting on the lower steps. Under the bridge there is space for equipment. Over the performers zone we designed wooden stripes which are organically growing out of the backstage. They give protection to the performers and make a dynamic chilling area for people behind the stage.
