Case
As part of Master's project, the group of three has to propose a new service for banking in Norway for millennial.
Method
Through our work and process of designing a new concept for millennial related banking services, we used a design approach that is service oriented in conjunction with and in addition to other methods. These included interviews and workshops in order to receive input related to design in order to generate ideas and evaluate the concept within our target group.
Solution
Based on millennials needs of banking services we have come up with a new concept of banking. Digcc is a digital credit card that together with a mobile application let you store all credit cards in one digital card while it still has all features of existing bank card. The user can interact with the credit card using touch inputs and the user is able to do various banking operations such as checking balance, pay for items and transfer money to other people on the go.
Based on evaluating this concept with users in form of both a workshop and a survey, we felt that we would need to adjust our concept. The major concern after user evaluation was security and the size of the card.
Participants in both the workshop and survey mentioned that being able to authenticate with fingerprint would make them feel more secure when using a digital credit card. The size and orientation of the card was also one of concern issues ergo instead of having landscape orientation we would use portrait orientation when user turn on digital screen of digcc.
In order to give user a whole experience, beside digcc card, we also provide a guide book and charger when customer registers for this service.
