'PHOTOJOURNALISM' STYLE PHOTOGRAPHS
CAPTURED WITH NIKON D5100
GRENADA 2012
My most passionate area of photography is documentary photography. I am largely inspired by photographers such as Steve McCurry, Tim Hetherington and Alice Aedy. Their style of photography is what I like best - it is raw and worldly. Not only is history and humanity captured, but those less fortunate are being bought to attention simply by being captured in their natural environment.
I visited Grenada back in 2012 with my Nikon D5100. At this time in my life I wasn't aware of photojournalism, I simply enjoyed photography. When looking back through my camera roll, I noticed I had captured several raw, photojournalism style photographs. Whilst I could include more recent photographs now that I know my preferred area, I much prefer these more fortuitous images. They are very similar to the style of photographs I want to one day be taking, and they were also taken in the type of environment I would eventually like to be photographing in.
BOTANICAL-BASED PHOTOGRAPHS
CAPTURED WITH NIKON D5100
I have a massive love for nature, so I like to express this through my designs and photography. These images are captured using my Nikon D5100 in places such as Kew Gardens and Wisley Gardens. I edited them using Snapseed and VSCO. Use of bold but natural colours seem to be one of my main focuses when designing or photographing. I like to use these images across my blog (currently under maintenance) and social media.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
CREATED USING ADOBE INDESIGN + ILLUSTRATOR
INTRODUCTION TO GRAPHIC DESIGN COURSE @ FARNBOROUGH TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE
I created these designs using the Adobe Creative Suite at the Introduction To Graphic Design Course at my local college. Here we covered topics such as typography, branding, logos and the Adobe Creative Suite. As you can see I have again focused on a botanical theme by using greens, yellows and leafy imagery.
FINE ART
AS LEVEL FINE ART
FARNBOROUGH SIXTH FORM COLLEGE
Here are a few pieces I drew when researching artists at Sixth Form College. Unfortunately when I left, I didn't get given all of my art work, so I have included all that I have.
