Suntrike is a three-wheeled recumbent velomobile with an electric wheel. Solar panels needed for charging a battery and located above the driver like a canopy. Driver's seat position is between sitting and lying. This allows to ride for a long time and also allows people with disabilities to ride with a comfort.
Suntrike designed for commuting and for a long distance traveling. We'll use 20Ah battery which allows to ride up to 50 km without pedaling.
Direct Steering – the steering handles are connected directly to the kingpin. Alignment is maintained with a single tie rod connected between the two wheels. Very little rider input is needed to turn the wheels which can make steering a little harder to get the hang of at high speeds. I've chosen that type of a steering because it's easier to build a frame: you no need a third headtube, a headset, a U-handlebar...
To build the frame of your trike you should have a frame jig to fix all of your tubes and jounts together, check the geometry and then weld it.
