Title: UWC Changshu Logo Design

In this piece I designed a T-shirt print for my high school "UWC Changshu China". UWC is an organisation of 17 schools, which are located in different parts of the world. The schools promote international and cultural exchange, offering scholarships to students from all kinds of socioeconomic and political backgrounds. 

Since the school I attended is located in China, I did not only want to display the logo of the school in my print but also incorporate symbols of the Chinese culture. I decided to do that, using a very typical symbol from Chinese mythology: The Chinese dragon. Because the original UWC Logo is composed of two connected circles which create a frame for the world map, I decided to substitute the circles with the bodies of dragons. In that way the original logo can still be recognised while it is clear what specific school the logo refers to.
