The wall, the mask, the face, the blood
Personal project of posters freely inspired by Margaret Atwood's Novel The Handmaid’s Tale. The 1985 dystopian novel is set in a near-future, in the Republic of Gilead, a theonomic military dictatorship formed within the borders of the United States of America. The novel explores themes of women in subjugation and the various means by which they gain individualism and independence. The decorate frames are inspired by the floor tombs of The Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence.
